The input values required for use in the abovementioned algorithm are:
External Pipe Diameter
Nominal Pipe Wall Thickness
Specified Minimum Yield Strength (SMYS) of Pipe
Maximum Axial Length of Defect
Maximum Depth of Defect
Defect Type
Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP)
WrapMax will use the inputs values in determining if the defect is within the acceptance criteria of using the PermaWrap Reinforcement Wrap. The WrapMax program will reflect the "acceptability or non-acceptability" of using the PermaWrap Reinforcement System.
The program also implements a system of report-based documents that are divided into four (4) complete sections as listed below to provide a comprehensive repair report:
WrapMax® Analysis Software:
WrapMax for Windows Evaluation Program is a "user-friendly" program developed as an engineering analysis tool for the evaluation of pipe wall defects associated with corrosion and/or "blunt" external wall loss. WrapMax for Windows Evaluation Program, also provides complete repair reporting capability in addition to analysis capabilities. The program may be used for either in-house or field evaluation of external degraded pipe having up to 80% wall loss.
The analysis will assist in determining the reinforcement benefits of using the PermaWrap Reinforcement Sleeving System. This program evaluates the defect area using both ASME B31G-1991 formulas and formulas for determining Composite Reinforcement Strength, then conducts a comparison of reinforced benefits again the criteria of pristine pipe, thus establishing the reinforced pipe integrity.
